Timo - Florida is nice and hot (about 80 degrees during the day, 70's at night). Ahhh...that's why I love being a native! You should check it out! Ask Paw here on the boards, he likes to venture to Florida often!

Where's Lzzy been lately??? WE MISS HER!! Big Grin

UM.....RECORDING!??! Roll Eyes LOL
Wow Jen, coulda swore I replied to this like two weeks ago, but might have been a pc error. I've been down visiting my daughter for the last week....YAY! But I'll sum it up for ya......
would love to visit sunny Florida!! Have had some good weather here lately but right now it's back in the 30's and I'll go ANYWHERE sunny right now!! I miss the beaches so much. Grew up (well.....I got older that is....hehe)in SoCal where our lovely Lzzy is right now!! I practically lived on the beach!! There's nuthin' like skinny dippin' in the ocean on a moonlit night.....ahhhhhhhhhh......yer makin' me home sick! LOL (not that I do alot of skinny dippin' these day though....LOL)
I've never been to the Shinedown board....will hafta check it out if y'all recommend it so!

And yeah Lzzy....lookin' forward to hearing your "tales from the road" once you've had a chance to relax and recoop from your recording session. (HIGHLY anticipated recording I might add!!!!) You KNOW we ALWAYS love hearing from you!!
Love yas!
Peace, Timo

So you know what cold and rain are then eh Jeff? Smiler
So what do you fly? Ever flown the P51? I used to go to Pt. Magoo in SoCal when I was in H.S. just to watch them do touch and gos all day. I never got tired of them birds though I've never got to enjoy the ride in one. Had a pilot buddy that used to take me up frequently in his Piper to do aerobatics though. I LOVED it!! He used to do barrel rolls and then tell us to point to the ground real quick. Not knowing we were upside down, we'd always point to the shy at our feet of course.....untill our heads would spin and we'e re-orientate. Then we'd do power end stalls over Hunington Beach pier.....man good times!!!
Happy landings buddy......and remember any landing you walk away from is a good landing!! (I'm sure you've heard that one.) But did you know it relates to the German dogfighters? They would say a version of break a leg that actors sometimes use that literally meant break all your bones....this of course was preferred over dying in a dogfight. Big Grin
Peace

The band is doing well in Los Angeles, but misses home and touring a great deal. They actually stopped touring last October, so this is the longest time off tour in 10 years for this young band!!! That has been tough on them. But, excitement over the new album, and staying in LA is helping ease the stationary time.

Personally, I can't wait for this album release, and to get back on the road with this hard working, delightful and funny.... most amazing people/band I have ever met!

No matter what happens, these four kids will continue to fight the good fight and have a blast doing it!!!

We're getting a lot of email messages about the album and it's progression. I thought I should try to update everyone, as much as I can.

The band is still progressing forward and working hard, but because of the holidays, and other industry factors, the progress has slowed a bit. It will continue to be slow until January, but should pick up then, and the band may actually get back on the road by (or before) February.

We're still good for a 2nd quarter release in 2008.. so that is great news. The album is still on it's projected time!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you... for all your best wishes and patience. It's a much harder project than we had anticipated... but hopefully, it will be more than worth the wait!

I know the band members miss seeing all of you, so your constant faith... and your encouraging words keep their spirits high. This has been the first time in 6 or 7 years that the band has not toured... it's been rough... but necessary to finally have an album to tour on.

Take care to all of YOU!

Hey Jeff,
did I ever ask you what you fly? I was in the flying club in H.S.; it was a small club...me and three buddies of which only one was a pilot.....not me..lol. He used to take us up in a Piper Cub and we do power end stalls and barrell rolls over Hunington Beach pier. Masn I miss those days. My dream is to go up in a P51 for some aerobatic maneuvers....some day.....some day.
Safe landings buddy!

I'm curious about where exactly in the process
Halestorm is, and am curious about a whole bunch of specifics.

Have they started recording yet? If so, who is
producing? What studio? How did the writing sessions go? Who are the cowriters? Names of songs? Any other specifics?

I haven't seen any specifics here or on myspace
about the record since about April, when the list of potential cowriters was released.

I'm glad they're hard at work on it. I was thinking maybe they were having some band issues and that's what the hold up was about. Thanks for shedding some light on it.

Nope... that's the one thing they have never had to deal with. These guys are the most compliant, laid back, funniest people I have ever hung out with. The industry, right now, is another matter. So much going on. If you read the internet stuff about the labels right now, it's sad. And scary. But, hopefully, with bands like Halestorm doing all they can to help their label get healthy, things will turn around just in time for the album to release!!! We're bankin' on it!!! :O)
Thanks for hanging in there for them!!!
