I was just wondering if there have been any updates on making the album. A possible date for release? Any upcoming shows? (Sorry, I'm desperate for Halestorm.)

Hi jen1083! I can update you on how things are progressing. The band is currently in Los Angeles completing the writing for the album's songs. They are both writing on their own, and with some very incredible people out here. Hopefully, we're still looking at a mid '08 drop for the album??? All your positive vibes and undying support helps so much. The good news is that everyone (the label, managment, and the band themselves) are very excited about the project. The band is just as anxious as all of you are, to get it out, so you are definitley not alone!!! Thank you, so very much, for your patience and encouragement!!!

Actually, their management is looking into getting them some shows in the LA area??? Not sure how far that is from you? And not sure anything will definitely work out... but they are trying!!! Thanks so much!!!

Yeah actually I live in Northern Cali.....about 650 miles from L.A........but stranger things have happened.....I went to see Madonna at the Staples Center and we had to make the trip twice in two weeks. That's because on the way to see her the first time the planes hit the twin towers. It was really freaky because we heard the first reports as we we driving down overnight. When the first plane hit, initially in L.A. they reported that a plane had crashed into one of the twin towers and they though it was a small private plane. We arrived at my friends house before the second one hit and we thought nothing of it. We crashed for a few hours and woke to a different world. Naturally, the concert was post-poned; hence the return trip a week later.
So keep me posted, though I was hoping for another show up here this year. (O:
You sure they don't want to come up and work all the bugs out before playing at home??? LOL

I work for the Post Office so I get a little busy around the holidays.....our motto is: "Tis the season to be grumpy." lol
I wish I was there with you in Florida right now cuz we got a foot of snow last night. We were having most excellent weather for the last month or so but I guess Old Man Winter wanted to make sure we knew he was still around.
I'm really excited about the new stuff.....can't wait to hear it!!

Wow...it's so refreshing to see a forum where people are so nice and kind to each other. It's rare these days. This board and the Shinedown board (not counting the whole Brad incident) are too awesome.

Must be a testament on how good these two bands are.

I'd sure like to Jen! I almost moved to Key Largo back in the late 80's. Was going to finish my Marine Biology degree at Miami U, but my ex threatened to put our kids in a foster home if I left the state.....and being young and naive I believed her....but then that's a whole nuther story!! LOL
I grew up on the beaches of Southern Cali so I know well the sweet smell of the ocean air and temperatures that are perfect year 'round......tanned oiled bodies all around ya by day.....skinny dippin' under a full moon by night.....**sigh**.....yer makin' me homesick girl!!!

And I agree this is a very unusual board and I do give full credit to mom and Lzzy and the boys. They are all so freakin' cool that they attract awesome fans and you just naturally want to pass on the good vibes. I'll have to check out the Shinedown board sometime.

Halestoned LOL Glad to hear Florida is warm, although I heard there is some rain the last couple days. I am Minnesotan now, originally from Iowa where I first saw Halestorm and now on my way to FL for the Sun N Fun event. I would like to see Halestorm do an aerobatics song I could use when I fly.
