Principal photography has launched on a screen version of David Foster Wallace's "Brief Interviews With Hideous Men." John Krasinski ("The Office") directs his own adaptation. Salty Features' Eva Kolodner ("Boys Don't Cry") and Yael Melamede are producing with James Suskin. Kevin Connors exec produces.
Julianne Nicholson stars as a graduate student coping with a recent breakup by conducting interviews with various men. Cast includes Bobby Cannavale, Michael Cerveris, Josh Charles, Dominic Cooper, Will Forte, Ben Gibbard, Timothy Hutton, Christopher Meloni, Max Minghella, Denis O'Hare, Lou Taylor Pucci and Ben Shenkman.
"Brief Interviews" is the first feature adaptation of a book by Wallace, who received a MacArthur Foundation genius grant in 1997.
He's listed on IMDB too, but they probably got that from the article. So was he miscredited, and is actually scoring the movie, or is he acting? Thoughts?
