i just watched death cab perform on the soundstage, which in case you don't know is a pbs program that records live performances and puts them on tv :] i thought they were great. although they advertised it as 'death cab for cutie plays songs from 'the open door' and 'narrow stairs'' they only played my mirror speaks and a couple tracks from narrow stairs. i liked it better that way.

I can't wait. I'm trying to stay up (it's not broadcast until 1 am) to watch in HD. Glad to see only one song was cut. Hate that it was Grapevine Fires.

It didn't air where I am but I did see My Mirrow Speaks on the pbs website and thought it looked like a great show.

And by the way, I really liked what Walla was doing on that soundstage version of My Mirror, definitely better than the recorded version.

If anyone was able to DVR it and burn it to DVD let me know, I'll buy a copy. I was lucky enough to be at the taping Smiler The person I was with got the set list and I know there were 12 or 13 songs on it, not sure how many made it to air, I didn't count.

The setlist is on the Soundstage website. It looks like they've released a DVD of previous shows, so here's hoping they do it again for DCFC.

I would've preferred they got rid of Summer Skin instead of Grapevine Fires, I really don't like that song.

You know I wasn't able to watch the whole thing as careful as I would have liked, but there was some pretty cool guitar work by Ben using one of those Ebow things, did that make it to air?

Yes, If I recall he used that on "Long Division."

Also on Long Division, I seem to recall Chris right out tossing aside one of his synths, haha. Did anyone else catch that?
