what happened to all our ideas from the old board on making the forums better? I specifically remember a ton of us requesting a sticky that has answers to these kinds of questions. I'm sorry, but I for one don't want 45 copies of this same thread posted by various new-to-death-cabbers

I think we should be nicer.

Death Cab For Cutie is a song by The Bonzo Dog Doodah Band, but I have heard different from highly respected BOC Death Cab fans. LOL!

Here's the answer - "Death Cab for Cutie" is indeed a song by the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band (or something like that) and is performed in the Beatles movie "Magical Mystery Tour. In the scene near the end of the film John and George are in a kinda strip club with a woman doing an act and the Band is playing the song in the background. Rent the movie and check it out. I wish board members who don't know the answer to an honest question would either say so instead of being rude.

good call. its easier just to answer and move on then it is to think of some overly witty comment.

So, if I understand your logic, you justify being rude to a new fan who asks a reasonable - albeit duplicate - question, because buried somewhere in previous board entries the question and answer can be found. Here's another option - how about welcoming a new Death Cab fan to the message board by either 1) graciously answering their question if you can, or 2) say nothing. In the silence, someone willing to help a new fan will. No one finds rude and condescending message board posts helpful. I'm out.
