I personally and unfortunately have only seen DCFC play live once Frowner Regradless it was the most amazing live show i had ever been to, (ra ra riot and cold war kids were touring with them at the time.)
But the point of this thread is to point out that my favorite song of their entire set they played was transtatlanticism. The way he played it and the way they had the stage set up was beautiful.
Just curious about other opinions, what is your favorite song performed live by DCFC?

Just curious as to which stop on the tour you went to. I saw the same bands with them at Lansing, MI.

I really like Cold War Kids; Hospital Beds was absolutely amazing live. Ra Ra Riot was also very good, but they didn't put on quite the show the CWK did. DCFC's set was pretty good. Of course, they played the more well known songs. A lot of my personal favorites were missing, but they're there to appeal to the majority... and I'm fine with it. Any way I cut it, it was still one of the best live bands I've even seen. It's obvious they have true talent when they can have the same impact live as they do recorded. As always, ending with Transatlanticism can never go wrong... great way to end the show.

Same situation here...
But I'm going to see Ben anyways, even though I have to get up way early the next morning. It's worth it Smiler

From what I can remember because of all the alcohol consumed before they get up on stage. I think it was Winter 05 i remember i was still in college and they played "Company Calls Epilogue" & "Photobooth". Also a year or two after that when Ben plays the drum in "We look like giants".

Agreed both bands were really good! I havent listened to them much since, not sure why though. They did play a lot of common songs though of course i was really pleased though they opened with president of what which is and AMAZING song. And although iwfyitd was their "sell out song" (in some people's opinion) ben did it beautifully he used that as the "encore" then came back and used those beautiful talented hands to play some transatlanticsm. hope they tour again soon! anyone know any information on that btw?? i know he is doing some with jay farrar but i would love to see them again.

Nope, the one in LA.
I don't know if I like the material either- I heard "These Roads Don't Move" and it didn't strike me as amazing or anything. A little too country-esque for my tastes. But it's Ben, and I'll support (almost) everything he does (except the twilight soundtrack).
Good luck with getting a record signed... if I didn't have to be up early the next morning, I would probably stay out there and wait until Ben comes out.

more or less if there's more than a few people he won't come out and will just walk straight to the van.

Also back to the topic i have saw them that is to say i seen them nine times, four times on the past summer tour here, twice in August last year, once on the plans tour in 2006 and two times in the same day back before transatlanticism was released in 2004 in Brisbane needless to say 2004 was the greatest as no one knew who the fuck they were.

I remember The Employment Pages and Your Bruise sounding startingly pristine and beautiful in Berlin... it was like the record coming to live, wheras Title Track's guitar mix was off. The Employment Pages will always be a favourite.
Otherwise Expo 86 and Transatlanticism were both absolutely huge in Toronto. Expo 86 is also ridiculously awesome on the DVD.
