oh yeah, both songs are awesome, and they are live from the fall 2006 tour. Key arena Dec. 9th 2006, the sleeve opens up and has a rad picture of the theater.

Hey cool, that was the show I was at.
I hope someone gets an MP3 for those of us who don't feel like getting ripped off.

i dont think it was really a rip off, it was not very expensive to join, and i received a cool shirt, a sticker, an exclusive 7" with two songs i have never heard before, and ticket presales for the shows, already being in this club has paid off, and it probably will have more benefits in the future, all in all i seems like a pretty wise investment if they are one of your favorite bands. the DCFC union rocks and so do the members.

clearly you're not one of the people who joined up almost a year ago. and of course it's going to have more benefits in the future, the site's still not done yet. AWESOME!

also, i think it's funny that the songs for the vinyl were finalized after the fan club started. they KNEW they weren't going to have a 7" for anyone who joined up, the site had pretty much nothing on it, yet they still felt the need to open up the fan club?? i mean at least if they already had the recordings, they could have blamed the delay on something else besides their own incompetence.

i actually was one of the people that signed up a year ago, i was just pretty happy about the presale tickets, and had the patience to know that eventually i would recieve a real nice 7". i am really happy both the songs are new to me, and i dont mind at all that they were from the 2006 tour. the fanclub was totally 100% worth it, and the small wait was no big deal at all. it seems like the band is always trying to please their fans and always have a busy schedule, i am pretty sure they would have sent the 7" out sooner if it was possible. theres no reason to be upset at all. It's just more good music to add to your collection.

Haha, the argument in the comments about the relevance of Devo and whether Death Cab disgraced them is even funnier.

I like the single. It reminded me that I have a Sonics LP I picked up in 1980. I wondered why I never played it. So I dug it out. In truth the only song I could get through was "I'm Going Home". Its always worrying when the first line of a record is "Woke up this morning, took my granny for a walk."

The Devo cover is good too, but I would have gone for "Come Back Jonee". One of my favourite ever gigs was Devo at the Manchester Free Trade Hall in about 1978. They tore off their synthetic boiler suits (as modelled by DCFC in that video) and I managed to get a leg and an arm. Unfortunatly my mum threw it out one day when cleaning my room.
