I'll be honest, Your New Twin Sized Bed was my initial least favorite track. By far. But surprisingly it did a complete 180. It is one track that you should NOT prematurely judge. It does grow on you. Much like the whole album, but this song is the true test.
Because it is one of the best tracks on the album, and when the song climax's it is the highest point emotionally for the whole album. Even though this feeling only lasts for a second, it is a second of pure bliss.
Listen to the song more, listen to the album more. This album is a grower.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I hear you, but I don't think you can really say that stadium arcadium is exactly the chili's sound is it. It's not like the song sounds like anything on californication or BSSM does it.

that's exactly what my brother said when he first heard this song, he listens mostly to red hot chili peppers, so I guess he has a point.

I said this in another thread, but I thought it sounded a little like Barenaked Ladies' Pinch Me at the beginning. Of course, I don't listen to the Chili Peppers a lot.

Stadium Arcadium was the worst thing Chili Peppers have ever done. Releasing too many songs that sound the same all at once. Death Cab did not release an album full of songs that sound the same, nor do I think the instrumentation really rates as a Chili Peppers creation. So no, I disagree.

Idk. I kind of think it's a lesser track. I have a same problem with this one just like i do with Title and Registration. Ben Gibbard can get a little carried away with extended metaphor. --------------------------- grom‧well /ˈgrɒmwəl/ –noun any of various often hairy plants of the genus Lithospermum, of the borage family, usually bearing white or yellowish flowers and smooth, white, stony nutlets.

Just listening to it again now... Highlights: That cool reverb-filled twang right before the guitar comes in. The synth in the 2nd verse. The bridge. Oh my god the bridge. When Ben says "got" and it echoes... there's so much emotion in that three letter word.
