its different, but its a pretty good song. it doesn't neccasarily mean there going pop, just that thee braodining thier horizons. i really like the jangly guitars at the end. i give it a B+. death cab does have a thing for not releasing there best songs as singles. look at tranatlanticism. the new year and sound of settling were my two of my least favorite on the album

I really like the new song. If it sounds different, i think it's because of 2 things : first, there's the quality sound, much polished (better? I don't know, i might say yes, but i'm from those people who really dug Babybird songs that were crafted on a 4 pists!) ; secondly, there's ben voice, much higher, but i actually like it, and i'm pretty sure he's not singing all the other new songs like that .

And for those who are a little disappointed, i'll say that this is not worse compared to New Year or the sound of settling. I think it's better.

after listening to the song over and over for awhile, i realized i liked it a lot. lyrics are perfect. im am sorry for the initial doubt, plans will be great.

if this song is a testament to their new album, I highly suggest they get their happy asses back in the studio.

i highly suggest you listen to the song a few times and get into it. They are not going back to their old style so get used to it man.
