okay, i have been bored, and i wasn't sure if anyone addressed this issue, but did anyone else notice that the old track list has the song "Long Division" listed as "The Remainder"... i kinda thought that was interesting...

Also, regarding the song "Casino Blues," when the song was debuted during ben's solo tour, did he actually say that it was the name? because i have always sorta admired that song, and am still holding out hope that it will be on "Stairs" Smiler

here i rest, where dissappointment and regret...collide.

anyone else think it's interesting that death cab for cutie had a shirt called "talking birds" and now it's the title of one of their songs?

I don't like Casino Blues much either. Good solo but not for the whole band or for what I think Death Cab should sound like.

and I hope
you have
more luck with this than me.

Yeah, that's right. And I also just thought of the bird from the cover of Transatlanticism when I saw that title.

I liked it too, and I wish it was on Narrow Stairs. I mean, why can't it just replace that awful mess "Pity and Fear"?

there was an early tracklisting somewhere i think where it had casino blues, but not cath. i'm fairly certain that cath replaced casino blues on the album. but who knows.

idk i think it could sound just like death cab once they put their spin on it...

the only reason i keep saying it could be "no sunlight" is because to me, it seems as if an up tempo song, and all the reviews have no sunlight as an uptempo song...

and plus the lyric,

"blah blah blah, the place where the sun has never spilt..."

wishful thinking i know

Who gives a flying FUCK what you "think Death Cab should sound like"? They can sound like whatever they want and I think they really realized that in the production of this album, which is what I think will make it turn out to be great. It'd be rad if they put Casino Blues on. It's a great, catchy song with a unique style, different from typical Death Cab.
