Im hearing very very positive reactions from the new songs. They are all really good and now I'm extremely confident in this album and I cant wait to hear the album versions in all their glory.

My favorite is Your New Twin Sized Bed, followed very very closely by Bixby Canyon Bridge.

it's a toss up between your new twin sized bed and no sunlight, both are fab.

my least favorite new song is actually no sunlight. not that its bad or anything its just that everything else is so much more rememberable. theres something in each new song that stands out and i dont think no sunlight has a spot. but maybe in the album version there will be. i picked long division. its just so fucking catchy

Your New Twin Sized Bed, I have it on repeat and it's not getting old. It's simple and it's not trying to be anything more than it is...it's just awesome. I think No Sunlight is annoying personally.

No Sunlight is a little too poppy for me. It reminds me of Sound of Settling, and how it fit in with Transatlanticism. I just don't think it really belongs, but I still like it. Not my favorite, but it's catchy.

BIXBY! followed by no sunlight... as poppy as it is it's so much fun and seems like it fits in this album - least the live version seems to fit in with the album

bixby is just way too awesome. Second would be talking bird. I dont really like your new twin sized bed that much. I dont like the beat of the song. Another one I am not to excited about is grapevine fires, the vocal melody in that song isnt that great to me and it sounds like easy listening music.

your new twin size bed kinda reminds me of Expo 86' but without the crescendo and the climax. i still like it though

I don't get why you all like Twin Sized Bed so much. It's a good song, but I wouldn't call it the best. I'd say my favorite so far is Grapevine Fires, the reviews were right about the writing being great, and its a very simple song but it works. If I ordered the songs it'd be like this:

1) Grapevine Fires
2) No Sunlight
3) Long Division
4) Your New Twin Sized Bed
5) Talking Bird

I haven't listened to Bixby Canyon Bridge, I decided not to ruin anymore of the album for myself. =P

I refuse to listen to any of these until the album comes out

personally the reason i love "your new twin sized bed" so much is its simplicity. i mean, it's not trying to be "epic" or "big sounding" -- which is part of the reason Plans didn't do much for me. In my opinion, great Death Cab songs are ones that are beautiful without trying to be( though the ones that do try to be are awesome as well). If you know what I mean. Sometimes the simple songs can do just as much as the big sounding epic ones. I just think Ben is a genius at writing simple, somber guitar-pop melodies and this is a perfect example of that.
