Don't records decline in range after a while?

I've never heard a record on decent equipment though-- I'm curious about it though. I'd like to compare the same album on CD and on Record just so I could make up my own mind.

i just find it nifty. and i bought my vinyls for cheaper prices than the cd...so.

all the saddle creek records come with free mp3 downloads of the album. so it's kind of two in one.

sub pop is doing that now too.

That's kind of cool. It'd be better to just buy the record even if you didn't have a record player because you're still getting the artwork (plus it's bigger) and the mp3's.

If you have a good turntable and speakers then vinyl can almost sound like its live. Vinyl almost always has a better sound than cd. Just ask Neil young.

yeah, yesterday I was listening to ella fitzgerald on vinyl and it seriously sounded like she was like in my house. it sounded totally live. that also might be because it's a live album, but whatever. and that record was made in 60 something, so age really has no effect.
