Why is this such a rare live song? I mean I have only seen DCFC once but i mean from the setlists i have seen it is a pretty absent song.

I'm hoping it shows up more often this tour. They seem to be playing it more.

It's just an ok song, really, ya know. It's fucking slow. So they can't really rock out to it, like they want to on tour. FUck, can't blame em for wanting to blow off some steam. The lyrics are aight, but this some of Gibbard's most wussy melodies

What is your problem, dude? It's ok to call a song slow, but drop the "wussy" talk, won't you? It is truly unbecoming. And I happen to think it is a beautiful and great song. I was privileged to hear it performed once, back in 2005 in Seattle. It was quite nice to hear. A better change of pace from the rock stuff, now that I Will Follow... has turned into shitty karaoke every time it is performed.

I don't really know why death cab always feel like they have to be this full on 'rock' band when they play live. They don't have to play the liveliest stuff to put on a good show. For example of the three times i've seen hem the best opening of a gig was with passenger seat. It was such a soaring vibe. They played brothers, trans, lightness, and personally that's what i think they are best at.

are we talking about brothers on a hotel bed? because that's actually one of my favorites. i think it shows ben's ability as a writer to take on different perspectives. i also love the arrangement.

but then again, i like plans as a whole and most "true" death cab fans seem to hate it. i think it's a solid album.

Go back to Grammar school BJ and learn yourself some vocab.

Also I agree, I think Brothers is one of the best written DCFC songs ever. The Imagery is really some of Gibbards finest. I also disagree with Jarone again, they don't always play "blowing off steam songs." Look at Follow, that is way slow.

The song is definitely one of their best, but what I've always wanted to see is them playing the Rolling Stones Original version of it, that just blows me away...

they played it when i saw them in milwaukee november of 2006. It was a good live song. I didn't know it was such a rarity. I feel like i've gotten some good death cab pairings. Idk if these are rare or not but.

Title track -> No Joy in Mudville
Company Calls -> Company calls epilogue

both blew my mind.

Since when did everyone on these boards get so tense to anything anyone says.

Also, a newb? Really? It's death cab, man. I love them, don't get me wrong. They were a big band for me in high school. And they still are as i fart out this last year as a teenager. But its not like they're totally omg! best band ever.
