Wow, yeah. I don't know if there's a more precious, pristine, pretty vocal out there. That part where he sings "the longer you think the less you know what to do" really gets me every time. I love how he pronounces the final consonants on all the words, especially on "what." It's effective.

I've always felt that Ben's voice has been the embodiment of the American boy-next-door, sweet and clear and almost precious, especially on The Photo Album and Transatlanticism. But then there's this album, and wow -- his voice is much more of an instrument, stretching it to its limits, finding rhythm in unlikely stressed syllables and bringing texture to melodies. I love how he says "San Francisco"
