I think Why You'd Want to Live Here, gets no respect. Love the song.

I'm in Los Angeles today:
Asked a gas station employee if he ever had trouble breathing
and he said, "It varies from season to season, kid."

Gotta love it.

Yeah, that's a great song. I was so happy when they played it live when I saw them.
A lot of the stuff on Photo Album seems a little overlooked. But it's some of the best stuff.

Yeah, I agree about WYWTLH, although the boys do break it out at concerts quite frequently, so I wouldn't quite call it underrated.

I would go with Talking Bird, Steadier Footing, Scientist Studies, and Death of an Interior Decorator. Those don't get very much love on tour. Also, Pictures in an exhibition.

I saw them play "Pictures in an Exhibition" live during the "Plans" tour. I freaked out, and no one anywhere close to me knew why...

I'd agree with "Scientist Studies." My vote goes for "Song for Kelly Huckaby," I think.

A sophism of madness...

I totally agree. Photo has most of my favourite songs on it, but it's also the most incoherent and least "albummy" album.

For me two songs that come to mind are Passenger Seat and Lack of Color. If they were to start playing Lack of Color instead of IWFYITD I would be very happy!

As for Passenger Seat I think it's just a simply perfect song and the lines, 'When you feel embarrassed then i'll be your pride when you need directions then i'll be the guide,' might be my favorite lyrics ever.

But also almost all my favorite songs come from Photo Album as well, I think it might be the most under rated album. I am glad that they play a fair amount of songs off of it in concert.

I'm so happy I saw them play Pictures in an Exhibition.

This is tough, I would have to go with a few...

Army Corps of Architects (I LOVE the Studio X version, so damn good)
Passenger Seat
Coney Island
No Joy in Mudville
Lack of Color

I could name a bunch...

Debate Exposes Doubt

That song is so good, but never really mentioned.

I wish the world was flat like the old days.

I'm with ya on that one.

also, I'd say Sleep Spent. Such a great lazy summer afternoon song.

And my personal favorite underrated tune would be State Street Residential. The guys don't have many positive things to say about it, but I definitely took a liking to it the first time I spun Chords.

I would second State Street Residential.
I'd have to say...

"Lightness"--deserves WAY more credit
"Stability"
"20th Century Towers"
"Coney Island"
"Line of Best Fit"
"Steadier Footing"

And I don't think The Photo Album gets the credit it deserves. I think when people, especially on here, discuss THE album Facts and Trans always come up. But think of all the classics on Photo Album. I mean I think front to back it's just as strong as those two. Also, I think "Debate Exposes Doubt" gets more recognition then you guys think: that's the favorite song of alot of people, including me.

Yes it is. Back in 2005, some veterans from the boards made a rebel board because they didn't like this one, and one of its members had it as her icon. I thought it was classy so I stole it.
