Hoooooooooooooooly Crap. This will go donw as one of the best nights of my life....without a doubt. I met Jeff and Tia.(staticsex and ilaughindoors) and they are both really awesome. I didn't get a chance to talk to tia too much, but my sister did and my sister loves her.We got there around 12:30ish, and i can tell you that that was the most fun ive ever had considering we were waiting around for 6 hours. Okay the venue......literally RIGHT on the ocean....no joke. like people in boats watched the concert. The San diego Skyline on your right, and the ocean bay on your left. AMAZING VENUE. So, obviously, we got front row, I was next to Jeff. Mates of state put on an amazing show, and I wish they ahd played longer. Ha Ha was the highlight of their set. Although they did play "Like U Crazy" and went into a cover of Gnarl's Barkely. We got a cool wave from Jason(MOS, not DCFC) after Jeff complimented him. (Do they have a kid? because my sister saw them playing with a baby during spoon?)
Okay, Spoon was okay.....They had some amazing songs, and then some were just Bleh. But.....Death Cab, no joke, (all of them) got on stage for their last song and played with Spoon. 8 people on stage....amazing.
Now for Death Cab....I didn't even know they had this in them...The Wiltern concert last year was unbelievable and i'd be willing to say this was two times better. I was directly in front of Ben. I don't remember the exact setlist, but Jeff's friends got some so he might... However the shocker of the night was when they played President of what? i got super excited. Anyway this was one of the most entergetic, in control, yet risky, and musically talented versions of Death Cab ive ever seen. It was what i hoped for times 10.
Mates of State came out for the "So come on" which was awesome
Oh, and Jeff got Ben's sticks, when he threw them to the crowd.
Ben had some good inbetween song talk, when he joked about how rich the people on their boats who were watching the concert were.

I do have pictures, and will upload them soon, and i know Tia took aton with a better camera, sooo yeah.

Anyways an indescribable night. And it was great to meet you Tia and Jeff.
