Get excited or whatever. I also partially made this thread to point out that this is the same venue that they hold American Idol in.... what the hell?

I'm excited; I'm taking the day off from work for this. I'm trying to decide how early I should get there to guarantee myself a spot against the stage.

Is it really where they had American Idol Justin?! I thought they had that at the Kodak theater. AH! I'm so excited for this show

I was in the pit for QOTSA and the pit is really small...like the Greek Theatre's but wider. A rail barrier wasn't even set up and the stage isn't that high so you're literally right at the stage. Hardly anyone got there early so I got to spend a lot of time checking out the new venue.

yeah they used to film at Kodak, but changed it this year.

When they played Wait, I collapsed to the floor and my friends had to pick me up. Awesome show. Blew away the San Diego one. I was really nervous because the venue was ridiculously large and extremely fancy (not a place for a rock show), even Rogue Wave laughed and commented on the fact that American Idol was filmed there. And sure I'll miss the Wiltern and other smaller, theaters with more "spunk" , but this kind of proved to me that it doesn't really matter where they're playing, I'm going to be happy.
