i actually agree. being a 'kid' myself, i think its one of the most influncial things in so many peoples lives.
But i do understand where you are coming from about kids and shows. i have been to all ages gigs and festivals only to be pissed off by some childish freak screaming at an unnaturally high pitch in my ear.
The way i see it, the venue makes ALOT of money off drinks, hence the 18+, more adults, more drink, more money...

Yeah well I wonder how that's going with the new alcopop tax. Drinks is basically the only reason 70% of non-arena shows are over 18.
I call everyone a kid until they're about 25. Everyone.
And yes, split floors are stupid ideas. Because you end up with a whole lot of wasted space in the middle which means you could have sold more tickets, and it's just generally a ridiculous idea. Why would you split a space down the middle and prevent people from getting any closer to the stage than a barrier or fence if they're in the second section? The aim of standing is usually to get closer to the live experience.
Lucky. Everyone has to tell me everything. I'm just glad I don't know anybody who is going, it would make it ten times worse having it dangled in front of me. I'm an amazingly jealous person. Although some of my friends are fans, the ones who are aren't 18 yet.
