Hi, I've never been to a Death Cab for Cutie concert but I have been to the Enmore theatre before for some more Punk/Rock bands (i.e. Dropkick Murphys), and when I got tickets they were for standing floor, do many of people jump around during the concert or do most just stand and enjoy the music? I don't image they would be very energetic because most of their songs are slow and peacefull, but I've never seen them live so I just thought I'd check.

Also, does anyone want to trade floor standing tickets (2nd part of the floor) for 1st or 2nd row seats? I'm going with my wife and she is pregnant so I just thought I'd ask.

yeah it does. i know that in the hardcore scene younger kids going to shows would have an x tattooed on the back of their hand so the bartender knew not to sell them drinks and it worked out fine.

not saying id want heaps of kids at a show i guess but it does suck when its a friend

from what I remember nobody moshed like crazy (or at all) when I saw them last time, but that was an 18+ gig and I'm not sure how crazy teens go at gigs.

Wristbands are always a good idea. At all the all-ages festivals I've been to the over 18s can get wristbands when going in as proof of their age. wouldn't be hard to do at regular gigs, in fact I think I remember seeing wristbands on the under 18s at the Metro, although I may just be deluding myself..

Ugh, I'm not interested in drinking at shows.

Yes, wristbands like at Soundwave, where they have cages for the drunkards.
That was quite amusing.

So I got my Sydney and Brisbane tickets, and noticed the Sydney ones are standing behind the dance floor. From what I can gather the Enmore has a split floor section, can anyone tell me what it's like?

I don't remember being able to specify standing areas when I bought the tickets.

once the first standing section sells out they start filling up the second section. they don't give you a choice because i don't think anyone would choose to stand in the second section if they could be in the first.

i think the whole split dance floor is a stupid idea.

oh ok. Yes it sounds like a very silly idea. Especially when you travel to go and see them, you want to be as close as possible.

The place they used in Sydney last time was ok, a little bit too clubby, but atleast you could stand where-ever you wanted!

last time was great because it was still that period where a lot of people didn't know about them and therefore the good tickets didn't sell out to scalpers in 5 seconds.

Yeah, well I expected it to sell out, but I've heard the Enmore is quite big. And the Tivoli show is sold out too. I kinda have this feeling they may not do Company Calls into Epilogue again..that was awesome.

Oh well, it's nice to reminisce about the good ole days when there was like 40 people to see them with SFK.
