Whats the best way to get good tickets?

My girlfriend and I bought some for the Red Rocks show fairly early off of ticketmaster and got row 41 seats.

Now Im seeing posts of people who were at the same show who bought GA tickets and got amazing seats (3rd rowish).

So is it best to just buy the tickets at the concert and wait hours in advance before the doors open?

you should have bought general admission. Gen ad for red rocks was rows 1-25 and reserved was 25-60

For Red Rocks, most shows are set up like Tomatoes&RadioWire said. 1-25 and 61-90 GA, 26-60 reserved. If you want to wait in line before the show to get great seats, make sure you get GA. Not sure what you mean when you say "show up early to buy tickets" as GA tickets are on sale as soon as reserved are.

Ah ok, for some reason I got the impression that GA tickets were bought the day of the concert right at the venue.
