I'm going to the 7/19 show (Still hoping they'll release more tickets for 7/18!) & the Troutdale, OR show. Just wondering who else was going!
My b/f broke up with me, and he's the only DCFC fan I know. None of my friends are too into them, so I'll be going to both these shows by myself! First time I'll be going to a show alone. Wanted to know has anyone ever done that before?
I'm not too worried, once Death Cab starts playing, I know I'll be fine. Just kinda scary going alone. You can always tell the people that were just brought along by their friends to attend the show and really aren't into the band, because they talk the WHOLE time, and it's so annoying. I'd much rather go by myself than drag along a friend who isn't a fan.

Anyone else going to these shows? And if anyone has an extra ticket to 7/18, let me know!

I go to shows alone all the time. My friends are all in their mid 30's to 40's and don't get into DCFC much at all and my wife is preggers so she's not up for it much. She loves it when I go to shows and she gets the house to herself for the evening. I'll be hitting up the 4.23 show, then My Bloody Valentine on 4.27, both solo. Don't be scared, it's all about the fun you have and the interesting people you meet when you're wondering around by yourself.

I put on my overcoat and walked into winter

I'd like to think that I am one of the interesting people that you other lonesomes meet!

I solo gigs quite often. It's cool, and you can stop for fish and chips on the way home, without anyone bleating about what time they have to get up for work in the morning.

And the hardest part is yet to come

I went to my first DCFC concert in Bellingham recently, alone because my wife isn't into their stuff and the show started late - we're old (56) ha and it was past our bedtime. Come to think of it, not sure if I've gone to a concert alone before but it was still fun and I felt comfortable, even spotting a few other people who were alone and ... I could even ID a few who were also approaching geezer-hood age ranges (though they were doing their best to appear young).

It was a great show; DC has a lot of good songs and are very good live players.
