Dear Death Cab,
I want to thank you for putting on three absolutely smashing and brilliant performances in the Bay Area this past week. I was able to attend both the Sunday evening Warfield show and the Tues. evening Santa Clara show. Although the Santa Clara show venue was a bit of a disappointment in terms of the sound (up in the balcony, we couldn't really hear you when you talked due to an echo around the gym), your performance more than made up for it: brilliant, professional, and absolutely worth going and sitting in a college gym teeming with youngsters. (I'm headin' towards 30).
I was so glad to hear older tunes like "amputations" at the SC show, and I loved when Ben crashed through his drum kit a la Spinal Tap style at the end of We Looked Like Giants.
The Warfield show was absolutely perfect in every way.
Please please please come back soon (in addition to Not So Silent Night in Dec.). In fact, come back in February so I can see you for my birthday, which would be a dream gift.
