This was my 7th time seeing them. but it was the first time that I've seen them not play Title and Registration. And I guess they're not playing "Facts" songs anymore...

Yeah the band played great but the setlist left a lot to be desired. I was stoked to hear "What Sarah Said" live for the first time but other than that I felt a little bummed. If these setlists don't change up next time around I don't think I will dish out the $45 to see them, even though they're my favorite band.

Just to emphasize how shitty the setlist was in comparison to just one year ago, here's last year's setlist at the Greek:

Bixby Canyon Bridge
The New Year
Why You'd Want To Live Here
Crooked Teeth
Photobooth
Long Division
Grapevine Fires
A Movie Script Ending
Company Calls
Title Track
Soul Meets Body
I Will Follow You Into The Dark
I Will Possess Your Heart
Cath...
Styrofoam Plates
Expo '86
The Sound Of Settling

E:
Your Bruise
Title And Registration
No Sunlight
Tiny Vessels
Transatlanticism

I almost want them to stop writing new material now so we can at least hold on to some Photo Album songs, cause soon enough those will be entirely gone as well.

Yeah, I was basically front row of the pit right in front of Ben for the majority of the show and I still just couldn't get into it. I remember seeing them at the Greek in 2006 and 2008 and being completely amazed each time. They're good performers, but the sets are just boring now. Plus, hearing every single person in the venue scream their off-key version of "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" is getting really old.

If they ever play "Spring Break Broke" (which will pretty much NEVER happen), I'll be completely satisfied. But more realistically, they need to incorporate Facts songs into the set lists. At least "Company Calls" or "405" if nothing else...

Last year they played Bixby Canyon Bridge, Why you'd want to live here, Photobooth, Company calls, Title track, Styrofoam plates, Expo '86, Your Bruise, Title and registration, and Tiny vessels, so about half of last nights show was stuff they didn't perform last year.

Transatlanticism is amazing, especially as the last song, but I enjoyed it so much more last year when they lead into it with Tiny Vessels like it does on the album.

Overall I thought last years setlist was much better, but it was still an amazing show last night.

I think this might be down to it being their worst song. They're more likely to wanna play flustered/hey tomcat Razzer

Haha admittedly "Spring Break Broke" takes some getting used to and isn't for everyone, but one day it just, for lack of a better term, "clicked" for me. It's not their best or even my favorite (though I do think it's better than "Pity and Fear") but I just meant that I would be satisfied because I think it's probably one of the least likely songs for them to play (along with Flustered/Hey Tomcat), if that makes any sense.
