I just went to the Death Cab show in Seattle last night, and I wanted to know if anyone felt the same as me when I ask, whats up with the entire crowd singing along to songs? Like, I think its fine to hum or maybe just for one song, but at least like 8 songs were nearly ruined for me because everyone was singing and they drowned out Ben. I came to hear Ben, not 50 little teenagers.

I have some hilarious videos of this situation. Some girl decided to sing who didn't know how the songs went. So she made the tune up. Over I will follow you into the dark. it sucked. I want her removed from this planet. Not killed. Removed.
i usually just mouth along the words, and rarely sing out loud...what pisses me off is the people who actually try to overpower him. this pissed me off the most when he played i will follow you into the dark. the first night so many people sang along, which upset me. but ironicaly, the second night, it was almost dead silent (which was perfect)
I have promises to keep and miles to go before i sleep
Seriously. Don't goto a concert if you don't want to deal with the crowd. I think there is nothing more awsome than hearing a whole theater singing along with one of your favorite songs. Usually the performers love it too. It lets them the know crowd is into it. It makes for a better show and they will get into it more also.
maybe on the jumpy songs but on i will follow you into the dark? you should stand in silence and listen to the awe. you should respect this song is a quiet song, should be listened in the quiet. do you hear people talking along when a man is talking about the pains of his thoughts that drag him down everyday?
no.
