Death Cab and Weezer are coming to my town all in the same night.
Death cab is my favorite band and its cheaper. However, Weezer is coming with the pixies and those two bands are probably gonna break up pretty soon and I wont be able to see them again whereas Death Cab will probably be touring in the winter. However with all this, I still feel like I'd be missing a huge show by not going to death cab. Also, all the the friends that were going to Death Cab are now going to weezer. That is indeed a dilemma.
I'd go with Death Cab, even though I love Weezer. I assume that they'll be playing a lot of stuff off of "Make Believe" though, and that would make it a rough concert to sit through, because in my extremely humble opinion, "Make Believe" is the kind of the music that makes my ears bleed. On the other hand, Weezer & The Pixies together is a great concert, despite that. And...yeah. I didn't really help at all. But...I empathize with your situation. Either way, you win.  |

A dilemma it may be. However, I agree with Kelly. The new Weezer album unfortunatley in my opinion was not to River's potential, obviously. So you should go and see dcfc. So go.

A couplke of years ago it would have been a win-win situation but dcfc seems like a better choice today, I have to say... Weezer are great, I realy love them or loved their older albums. wnet to see them a couple of years ago, when the green album was released, and altough I will never regret seeing them it was never quite as good as it would have been when they were touring Pinkerton for instance. Pixies is only good on albums theese days. Trust me... saw them last year. Go death cab you lucky bastard! ---------------------------------- If You got an insult, let it out... |

All of my friends that would be going to death cab are now going to weezer. If I can get some people that will still go see death cab, I might go see them instead. What me and my friends are thinking about doing is getting to the festival really early because they are giving out a limited amount of free grass seat bracelets for weezer. This way, its free, and we have our options open.

I not going to concerts to hang out with friends...I go to concerts to listen and dream. Its like to go to the movies for a date, or for that matter socialize with friends...No talking! but on the other hand you want ome stable souls to lean on after the concert... So this was really notes about nothin, im not even shure what I wanted to say. Dilemma as nelly sings...

I've met some pretty cool people at shows. I have gone to show's alone, it's really not much of a dilemma when you really think about it, is it?

i went to the death cab, ben kweller, and pedro the lion show alone, and i realized that my views of the concert weren't skewed by anyone i was with, and i was only focused on enjoying myself, it was quite nice.

yeah the only time I went to a concert alone was at the Fillmore last spring for Death Cab and Ben Kweller. It was fun

well, i like Death Cab more than either of those 2 bands. however, i'm wearing my Pixies shirt right now. i think that's a sign, go to the Pixies show! it's like you said too, who knows how much longer they'll be around?

I think I might try this going to concerts alone thing. I usually go with friends who dislike the music and the band. I spend some time trying to make them happy or give them $20 to get drinks. Although at my last concert if I had been alone I think I might have had my butt kicked so friends are good sometimes. Oh and about the dilemma I saw The Pixies last year and they weren't that great either but they might have been upstaged by Sonic Youth, The Beastie Boys and Green Day. Go see DCFC.

Right now, Im trying to go see Death Cab. I just have to find some people that want to go to that over weezer and the pixies. Thats the hard part. And I can't go alone to see death cab. I cant.
