Hail to The Chief! You were right next to us, I believe. Maybe you'll recognise us from these photos...

hehe cool! im pretty sure i saw you, am not sure about the others. I think you were standing just in front of us.

Yeah, gutted i couldn't stay, wanted to meet them but i had a time-limit. Didn't get to bed until 2am after the drive home, and had to get up again at 7:30! Frowner

I enjoyed the set and the sound at the Apollo, for a change. I think my favourite song was Company Calls Epilogue. I spent some time near the front and some right at the back. I moved because two women were chatting all the way through. In the end I said "I am sorry to be terribly rude, but all I can hear is you two chatting". They apologised and then carried on chatting, so I gave up.

I saw you waiting after the show, as I was in and out of the pub for a cigarette, but obviously didn't know it was you. I think I saw jojo? Woman with purple hoodie next to a woman with red hair, but bottled speaking to you.

Last nights gig at the apollo was amazing, ive seen death cab before at the academy but this has to be one of the best gigs ive been to. I loved it from start to finish, setlist was great with a powerful transatlanticism climax.

Thought the apollo was well suited, was alot better sound than when i saw Interpol there last week. Dont think i will see death cab better than that!

@ Mike - That's no problem; there's always the next tour in November, seeing as the four of us are apparently planning to attend all of them now! That's Death Cab BFFL, surely.

@ Jojo - I think I know exactly who you are... Just to the right of us, the only one singing along to some of the older songs. Smiler

In retrospect, Why You'd Want To Live Here must have been personally significant too - I've had the intro in my head ever since I woke up the next morning!

i was stood right next to char. infact, when we were all let in 2 of you went to the right of me and the others to the left and someone went "hang on, theres a clear divide here!" and everyone moved to my left.

but i wasnt singing along to any of it, my throat was completely dead. i attempted to sing along to i will follow you... but i gave up half way through lol. i was guzzling water everytime they handed it out.

i seem to remember lots of talk about bumming... ha, and "EPILOGUE!!!"

So Mike...sounds like you move around the room which is what we do. There is no perfect sound spot. Did you get to hang with the boys? Say yes.

Let's talk.

No hanging around this time I'm afraid. Although I had a good long chat with your son in Camden, London a couple of months ago, which was fun as usual.

Someone always sorts me out if I am stuck for a ticket, but I just don't like to impose, I guess, so of course I try and get one myself and only contact someone if I have managed to a) not find out in time and the thing's sold out b) my incompetent French friend has lost all our tickets somewhere in his tiny flat in Paris or c) someone offers to sort me out without asking.

My take on it is that these days that there are a LOT of people out there out to steal a little of their time and that adds up to a lot of time and I am another chunk of time stealer, so I try to do it sparingly.

Nearly every UK conversation I have with Chris includes you. An e-mail yesterday was..."did you connect with Mike Mc?"
Yes, there are a ton of pulls...but you are on their radar. Be a chunk of "time stealer".

Sounds like you operate the way we do...no demands...but if something opens up...? =o) You are well regarded Mr. Mc.
