This'll be my second time, the first being two years ago at the Academy 1. Unfortunately, I was a little distracted last time and didn't get down the setlist and fully absorb the show, but this time nothing will get in my way. Smiler

At the risk of repeating the debacle that was the pint before the Camden show, is anyone over the age of 18 going to the show prepared to drink beer before hand? Me and Mrs Mc will be in the pub The Apsley Cottage Inn, just down from the entrance.

I would definitely be up for that, along with a friend, so long as it doesn't compromise my place front and centre.

What happened with the Camden show?

A couple of folk here arranged to meet before Camden, but then didn't show. Don;t be that person. Smiler We should be there about 7.30pm. Carry a copy of The Times. The code word is Barsuk.

I hate the Apollo, I vowed never to return after the shite sound last time arcade Fire were there. But I have had to swallow my pride for the DCFC show.

If you like warm, expensive cans of Carling and bad sound it will be fine.

7.30pm? The doors open at 7 and I'd prefer to be at the front as soon as possible... Attempting to jostle my way there after going to the toilet or arriving late is something I've always found uncomfortable, so in all honesty I would rather avoid it and set up camp for the duration of the concert.

If you're coming with the Mrs, hopefully that isn't too much of a problem? Sorry to bail already, but at least I'm giving you notice!

It's next week! I'll make sure to write the setlist down and put it here afterwards.

The Apsley Cottage

I can highly recommend The Apsley Cottage. It's located right next to the stage doors of the Apollo. If you get there early enough then there's every chance that you might get to meet the band.

Saw Interpol at the Apollo last week and the sound was dreadful. Here's hoping the sound is vastly improved for DCfC.

FEELS LIKE I'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE

We never went to Interpol because of how bad the sound was last time (and the visuals for that matter). At Arcade Fire me and Mrs Mc stood arguing with the sound guy until we were moved on by the security.

Maybe it is down to the crew? Ben doesn't suffer bad sound, and I think the DCFC crew are as good as they get so maybe they will overcome the venue acoustics?

hey, this will be my first time seeing DCFC and I'm going all alone so wondered if anyone who is going to be around fairly early for queueing wants to meet up with me? I don't really wanna be stood there for hours all alone!

And I'm up for pub-age as long as its early enough to get a decent place in the queue =]

As stated above, we'll be in the Apsley Cottage around the corner from the main doors. We being me and Mrs Mc - couple in 40's she is beautiful and has long dark hair. I am tall, distinguished and buff.

And by buff I mean starting to develop my six pack into a barrel. And by distinguished I mean slightly scruffy in appearance, but with a haircut that is slightly shorter than I really wanted. I am actually tall - unless your 6' 3" - in which case I am short.
