My brother sent me a text. Said it was a great, great show, and I asked what of the old stuff they played:
We Laugh Indoors Company Calls --> Company Calls Epilogue Styrofoam Plates I'm extremely irritated they played Epilogue tonight and not at Red Rocks. I've been dying to see that song live since I've gotten into them. |

I was there tonight..and all i have to say is they played "tiny vessels" and I cried like a baby !!!!

setlist went something like this:
Bixby Canyon Bridge The New Year Why You'd Want to Live Here Photobooth Long Division Grapevine Fires Movie Script Ending Crooked Teeth Company Calls/Company Calls Epilogue Cath Soul Meets Body I Will Follow You Into the Dark I Will Possess Your Heart The Sound of Settling Marching Band of Manhattan -----Encore----- Title and Registration No Sunlight Styrofoam Plates Tiny Vessels/Transatlanticism i went to the shows at red rocks and city market. we drove out for the red rocks show and i had to be at work on saturday, but i couldn't stand being a 20 minutes away from a death cab show and not show up. i actually preferred tonight's performance over the red rocks one. there seemed to be more energy; i think the two day break did them good. jason and nick went insane on transatlanticism; i've seen death cab four times, and i can't remember seeing them get so into a song. the setlist was great: company calls epilogue, styrofoam plates, we laugh indoors and tiny vessels were welcome surprises. it really speaks to the greatness of this band that i went to the show by myself, suffered through two bands i didn't know were going to be there (including the kooks...*shudder*), was hot, exhausted, had to stumble through the crowd to buy water and sacrifice my spot near the front (i almost blacked out 'cause of dehydration)...and it still rocked. can't wait until the next time i see 'em. DAMN. Company Calls -> Epilogue and Vessels -> Trans? *envy*

We Laugh Indoors, Company Calls/Epilogue, Styrofoam Plates... Oh man, the set list was better than I could've hoped for. The only thing I think that would've made it better is if that guy yelling for No Joy in Mudville got his wish... Oh, and I would've loved to see the dual-drum outro to We Looked Like Giants again, but it's all good.
This was totally the first time I've ever gotten to see them from right up front too. My girlfriend actually got a lot of really good pictures. Is anyone interested in them? |

Also,
I agree about the Kooks. I don't know what other band you're talking about though. I was really impressed with The Morning Benders actually. They were like a Shins/XYZ Affair hybrid. I liked it. As for Rogue Wave, their set was really chill until those last two songs. Those two songs are what finally got me ready for Death Cab. |

Things are really starting to look up. Your Bruise, Styrofoam Plates, Photobooth... hopefully these and Epilogue will become regulars.
The last time I saw them in August of '06, they played both Epilogue and Photobooth, so I thought that was perfect. But damn I would love to see Your Bruise and Styrofoam Plates. Does anyone know if they still have those awesome, blinding white lights during the chorus of Epilogue? I'm glad they've finally realized that they need to change things up. --------------------- Big fish eat the little ones. |

brian, don't they usually play Photobooth? I never thought it was that rare of a song. I agree about the others though, glad to see them changing it up. Last tour it seemed exactly the same each show.

Yes. Very much so. |

I wouldn't say usually, but they do throw it in there much more so than others and I wouldn't call it rare. ...ok, so they do usually play it. --------------------- Big fish eat the little ones. |

I just uploaded them all on a Webshots album. I don't think you can download them directly, but you could PM me if there are some you really want, I guess. Also, I just uploaded all the pictures so it's The Morning Benders, The Kooks, Rogue Wave, and then Death Cab. Pictures: here. |

Thanks for this, I was kicking myself for not writing it down. The only thing I know is wrong is that I know they played "Crooked Teeth" because he prefaced it with "This is about a day not unlike today" or something. |

True that. I didn't write it down, just went off memory best i could. |

The full set list in correct order is as follows:
Bixby Canyon Bridge The New Year Why You'd Want to Live Here We Laugh Indoors Photobooth Crooked Teeth Long Division Grapevine Fires Movie Script Ending Company Calls Company Calls Epilogue Soul Meets Body I Will Follow You Into the Dark I Will Possess Your Heart Cath... The Sound of Settling Marching Band of Manhattan ---Encore--- Title and Registration No Sunlight Styrofoam Plates Tiny Vessels Transatlanticism |

You guys got Styrofoam plates?! I really want to hear that one at Red Rocks. I mean come on we were in "the suburbs of Denver", I was shocked it wasn't played.
