any of you attending the Greek theater show?
it's my first time seeing death cab for cutie
ive wanted to see them for 3 years now!!!!!
picked up my tickets last week

i'll be there. i think this is the 3rd time i'm seeing them there? you're in for a treat. the venue is awesome. are you planning to stand in the pit area or sit towards the back?

i'm going to get there early & get "all up in there" haha :P

i'm kind of glad they are sticking to the same set as it means with the new tour next year after the new record is done they'll hopefully change the photo album/facts songs around a bit. I bet they will do prove my hypotheses at one of the seattle shows though.

"prove my hypotheses" is one of the songs that i have yet to see live and this is going to be my 7th death cab show. also, i've always wanted to see them perform "blacking out the friction" and transition it into a cover (like with "brand new love" on the john byrd ep). sadly, based on the hollywood bowl setlist, i don't think that's going to happen. i'm crossing my fingers for a facts song though. maybe in the encore...

the last tour i went to as i'm from Australia in Feb they played the employment pages, company calls /epilogue and title track.& the previous tour in August they did 405 in an encore so maybe they'll do one of those. Anything else i doubt, although they did do scientist studies a few months back.

Saw DCFC at the Greek in Berkeley Saturday. Talk about an awesome concert! The rain, double rainbows, and the view of the Golden Gate Bridge made the event that much more memorable. BUT WHO WAS THE GUY IN BLACK SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STAGE THE ENTIRE TIME ACTING LIKE THE GRIM REAPER? Security? Sound Engineer? Would have preferred he kept his sour-puss presence behind a big black speaker or curtain.

Haha I noticed that too. I'm pretty sure "that guy in black" owes "Bob" money or something and he is trying to find out who he is so he can break his legs later. Violence has never solved anything, Bob.

I'd like to know how the grim reaper acts. Was the dude chillin' with a fuck off nasty scythe and a blunt hangin' out his mouth? Maybe he actually was the grim reaper and Bob was the only one who could see him as he was about to die ala Harry Potter and that big black dog. Bob probably wont ever reply to this because he's now dead, taken from us far too early by the big grim himself!
