This is somewhat old news, but Coldplay's new album has been named Viva la Vida.
It is said to be heavily inspired by their tour in South America (which I am indirectly responsible for...)
I was messaged a letter on the Coldplay forum telling me to forward a letter to Coldplay asking them to tour South America. My gym teacher is good friends with them, so I forwarded it, and soon afterwards there was a Latin America tour...
It feels kinda cool Smiler

I don't like Coldplay. And that title makes me think of Ricky Martin. Neat story, though.

I thought the album was called "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends"

I figured they were choosing between "Viva..." and "Death..." but wikipedia lists it as one name and colplay's site has quotes around the entire phrase.

The official title is Viva La Vida... Death and All His Friends sounds like a really bad emo album...

Some articles still state that it is indeed called "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends", one of them is Wikipedia (as boombox mentioned), another is coldplaying.com. Aaaaand it pretty much looks like that is indeed the title if you visit the official Coldplay website.

EDIT: I use "indeed" too much... Eeker

Apparently the title was misunderstood at first.
http://www.coldplaying.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4140

I didn't realize the quotes weren't there at first.

Anyways, they STILL call it just "Viva la Vida" in their newest entry. Probably for short.
