So, most of you know, I have a webzine called Floorboards to the Fly. I usually do an interview with a band for every issue, but for this one, I want to write about Elliott Smith (he died on October 21st, and I'll be releasing this issue in October...). Problem is, I really don't have much to say about him. I didn't know who he was when he died, and I can't really write a lot about what I know about him and his music. I listen to his music, but it seems kind of shallow to write just about the music, and not about him. If that makes sense. This is where you all come in. Some of you are probably big fans of him and have stories about concerts of his that you went to, or how you felt when he died, and things like that. So, if you want to, I'd love it if some people wrote like a paragraph or so. I think it could turn out really cool if a bunch of different people did this. I don't know. If you want to.

if you own a copy of "New Moon" it has tons of liner notes, and stories about him from his friends. And if you wait til november, Autumn De Wilde has a book coming out on him, with inserts from friends and close relations.
see, if i wait til november, i can just use my hellogoodbye interview, which is november 14th. if im going to wait for the book, i might as well not it at all, because then people can just read the book. also, i was just thinking this could be a cool thing. i mean, i could write the whole thing and steal stuff from new moon, but i want it to be more of a fan thing.
