It's that time of the year again, the best festival Australia has to offer 'Splendour in the Grass' have announced the first lineup and ticket prices. $200 fucking dollars! It's gone up $100 in the last two years.
 On the bright side, the lineups not too shabby at all: DEVO, WOLFMOTHER, SIGUR ROS, THE LIVING END, THE PRESETS, TRICKY, VAMPIRE WEEKEND, BEN LEE, COLD WAR KIDS, THE FRATELLIS, THE WOMBATS, PNAU, LAURA MARLING, THE VINES, THE GRATES, OPERATOR PLEASE, BAND OF HORSES, VAN SHE, THE PANICS, GYROSCOPE, MSTRKRFT, LIGHTSPEED CHAMPION, THE BROWN BIRDS FROM WINDY HILL, SCRIBE, THE MUSIC, THE GIN CLUB MOTHERFUCKING DEVO! 200 and the best thing they've booked is Devo? They're pretty good, but I really think that's too much for that lineup. I like VW and BoH a lot and I know people obsess over Sigur Ros... Is Wolfmother Australian? Yeah, I just would expect to see Radiohead, Flaming Lips, Sufjan, Jack Johnson, or even Death Cab, just more big name popular artists for 200 dollars...

well I like sigur ros, presets, vampire weekend, cold war kids, wombats, pnau, grates, band of horses, van she, panics, mstrkrft, lightspeed champion and the gin club. So that's 14 bands that I want to see and that's only the first lineup. This time last year there were about 3 bands that I was happy about so for me it is great.

I agree, there's not any band there that I would consider going to see live by themselves for 10 dollars. 200 dollars is ridiculous for any festival.
