Have you ever done this?

Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was #1 on the day we were born.

My number #1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK
'Ben' by Michael Jackson in Australia

See which songs you get

Dont Worry Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin

Pretty neat.
But it just reminds me of those weird fish that sing.

All Night Long: : Lionel Ritchie (US)
Karma Chameleon: The Culture Club (Australia)
Uptown Girl: Billy Joel (UK)

I remember that god awful Melissa song. Thank god the rest of the world wasn't exposed to that song, but the soap she was on E Street was wonderfully tacky and absurd, I particularly loved that stupid serial killer story line.

Just to make this a bit more challenging for myself I thought I'd guess the year of birth of the above posters (without cheating). Feel free to do this yourself as well and perhaps post the collective results later on. I think I have most right, possibly I'm year off either way in a couple.

I don't know why, but when I saw the Poison song it made me laugh, I think it is a ridiculous song...

One-hit wonders? I remember that song. I think there might have been a parody of it on Sesame Stree once...
