i don't really have any people I really consider my heroes. i could name some people I admire but I feel it's an over statement to call them my hero.
but i like this thread, if people start participating. i'd like to read it

Eh, same here. I just admire people. John Lennon is probably at the top though.

Jonah Bechtolt. I don't want to do a ton of musicians cause I could go on forever but he really seems like one of the coolest people, and he seems like a really nice and fun guy. I admire him mostly for his likability, but also he pumps out killer tunes.

MLK. duh. unity is good

My math teacher last year. He was an incredible teacher and a swim coach and soccer coach and he got understood people and was passionate and nice. at his old school he encountered a lot of kids who were thrown out or ran away and he offered his house for them to live and ended up housing around 10 kids at once. I really think that's incredible.

People who try hard to make the world a better place. So i guess my dad fits in there, even if we don't get along socially as well, i do admire him a lot. i don't know if he knows that really.

Andy Goldsworthy. He's got patience like no other and he makes incredible art. I would just love to sit down and talk to him for awhile, I think what he does is just so great.

i guess i could call them heroes. i just don't like the term hero too much, that's why i didn't really click with it. the term sounds really idolizing, like you put them above all other people, atleast to me it does. i want to see everyone elses list!

when i named the thread 'heroes' i kinda meant it in a sarcastic kinda way..like the comedians of comedy arent really my heroes, i just think they are really cool people and i like what they're doing


the girls of ghost world are pretty freaking rad..i would love to be friends with them!

ANDREW KENNY-Better known as the lead singer of the American Analog Set. The fact that I absolutely love the Set helps, but the real reason I respect him so much is his attitude to music, fans, and life. I can listen to his interview that he did with IndieInterviews over an dover again, like its a song, because he comes across as the most humble musician around, and you can tell that it's genuine. You hear a lot of interviews where you can tell the musician is trying to act like they're down-to-earth, but it's easy to see through that. Andrew is just an awesome role model to me.


THIS NEXT ONE ISN'T SO MUCH THAT HE'S A ROLE MODEL, I JUST THINK HE'S REALLY AWESOME.

GLEN HANSARD-Lead singer of the Frames. After seeing him live, his coolness was beaming off of him. But I could tell that he was so happy to be playing on that stage at Coachella, despite the fact that it was 110 degrees out. And I know it's just acting, but how could you not love the guy after you see Once.

DEFINITE ROLE MODEL:
My friend ISAAC. You'll never meet another kid like this. He's never called anyone stupid, or any other name for that matter, not even if he was just joking around. Not only that, but he's exciting to be around. It also helps he has an exceptional, and varied taste in music. Everyone around here wants to be like Isaac. And it's not because he is the captain of the football team, or has the hottest girlfriend, but because he's just a good guy and that's really easy to respect.

I'll add more later, because I definitely have other role models.

my friend jason. he came out this year and all the guys at school beat him up and make fun of him and he deals with it so well. he doesnt let anything affect him at all. he made a speech at school about being gay and the room just went silent. hes one of the sweetest guys i know and i just love him to death. i wish i could be half as strong as he is.
