I don't know if you guys heard, but Caleb(meandthesea) has a new exclusive compilation album coming out exclusively through his blog, It's Hard to Find a Friend.

It's a Christmas album with original songs and covers of classics, featuring bands like the Long Winters, Walla, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, and the Prayers and Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers.

I'd like to see someone do a cover version of John Lennon's happy x-mas, but with a better tune behind it. I always liked the lyrics, but the song was too cheesy.

Damien Rice does a decent version of it. Slowed down and a bit different from the Lennon version.

Well, we're five days away from release. Chris's song will be enjoyed by you all I think, I don't know if you're familiar with the Coventry Carol or not but it's a pretty dark old Christmas hymn.

Anyone else from these parts bought it? I'm curious to know which songs you're liking, disliking, and or skipping.

I'm buying it soon, but I have to use my 'rents credit card and pay them back and they don't really like to do that too often so I'm waiting till they're in a good mood.
