Roses are red,
Violets are blue
if you don't like this poem

I do sometimes. I even posted one once in another poetry thread. However I won't even bother any more coz I think they lack talent and people here are mean. Yes I am one of those people...but still...I'm a hypocrite.

I used to write stuff in high school. It was never any good.

well then i guess forget it then. gosh.

You saw me in a dream last night,
I waved but didn’t smile.
Standing strong in a pool of light,
My eyes they said goodbye.

Walking away you glimpsed a sigh,
And wondered what it meant.
A moment later a tear gathered in the corner of my eye.
But my eyes…my eyes still said goodbye.

Light that bathed me, coughed, went out,
But you heard me cry.
The switch you flicked turned off your doubt,
And in the darkness my eyes couldn’t lie.

What did I mean?
When I first stood in the light?
When I stood in the light of your dream?
My attention seeking eyes controlled your mind.

So I’ll close my eyes,
I’ll close my eyes and sleep.
My eyes they try and lie,
But my heart won’t say goodbye.

i really liked it...i love to read other peoples poetry but most of the time i take it differently then what they were trying to get out but people do that with mine too
