I know, I know its all about the music right.. but I'm just wondering, do you think the guys in deathcab are millionaires yet? How many albums have they sold, how much money per album do they get? If anyone knows anything about this, I'm just curious. I do hope they're pretty well off.. it would be too bad if 30 years from now Ben Gibbard had to be giving voice lessons to pre-teens just to pay the bills. Rockstars don't have pensions afterall.. let's hope they're consolidating their assets and diversifying portfolios and such.

I bet they got hugh advances and then blew it all on cars, booze and women. because if they didn't.. *shakes fist*

it would be interesting to hear people's insights on this. i'm curious about that as well. I mean, there are 4 members in the band, and they only get a small percentage from each cd sold but then, they've sold millions altogether, right? and they also tour and must move tons of merch... I really do wonder how much they each make.

honestly, i hope they are successful and continue making great music... i don't really care what their bank statements say...

Ive also just read that the sales of TPS cd's combined with DCFC sales "ensure he has a small fortune........" That sounds exstreme though I think this journalist need to check their facts.

yeah, i dont think they've hit the million dollar mark yet. they're probably well over $100,000, but not a million yet.
