I've been reading yasunari kawabata's stuff. It's pretty good in a subtle kind of way.

hahaha i know! but i've just kind of made him into a joke. i really don't think that reading literature that old is that important and we certainly didn't need to spend as long as we did reading that. but it did prompt me to name my car 'Beowulf'. but not everyone thinks cars need to be named so it's debatable whether that counts as a positive or not.

I'm studying that kid of lit and it's pretty important, it's like foundations and stuff, to really get a good concept of lit today you need to have concepts of things like that.

I have to agree though Beowulf is horrible.

I'm now reading Mrs. Dalloway by Virgina Woolfe. It's alright.

Yes, the writing doesn't capture my attention like my favourite books do.

I've been reading it a few pages every here and there and it's alright, it's hard to get into though I find.

I am reading I Am Charlotte Simmons by Tom Wolfe next though, and I'm rather excited about it.

I have to read The Odyssey for school. I don't like it.

I've actually never read it. I've heard it told before and seen it preformed in a muscial (don't ask), but I've heard it's way too drawn out.

I'm still trying to get though Mrs. Dalloway, all I have to say is HOLY LESBIAN UNDERTONES!
