well mostly i just want to share my experience at the Decemberists show at the Woodland park Zoo but i thought this would be a cool thread for everyone to share with each other about a show they really liked. or whatever

soo....

DECEMBERISTS
were
amazing
they keep getting better every time i see them
i waited in line with my friend for a long time but while we were waiting we walked aroudn the zoo and looked at gorillas and elephants which was actually really cool (for those that dont know this show was at my local zoo). we were about 10th inline. when they let us in everyone was trying to walk really fast because they wouldnt let anyone run so it was a mad dash. luckily i got right up front.
at the zoo concerts, everyone sits down. its more of a family event so we sat and watched. the first band were not very good. called the nethers. but i wont talk about them.
Colin came out and started the show. everyone went wild.
oh i cant describe the whole show.
i got the setlist though:

I Was Meant for the Stage
16 Military Wives
July, July!
Grace Cathedral Hill
Summer Song (new)
We Both Go Down together
Enginge Driver
(coling had to tune his guitar so the rest of the band jammed on a "Guitar Tuning Tango in E Minor")
Leslie Anne Levine
O Velencia (new)
Perfect Crime #2 (new)
Song For Myla Goldberg
(Jenny Played a Scottish war song while colin tuned again)
Legionare's Lament
(which transitioned into)
A Cautionary Song

-Encore-
(everyone sang John Happy Birthday)
and then...
Mariners Revenge Song

which was an amazing ending

alright

(I got to watch their soudn check from afar

it is kind of a cool idea.

Last show I went to was Wolf Parade. I really wish I was in Toronto because so many great bands are going through there this fall.

Metric is playing at my university...

Your lucky. We get Moneen as well, which is cool I guess because they are nice guys and that. I just don't think a lot of people are gonna go see a hardcore show. We always go for that CRTC.

my last show was... wolf parade
it was good, but so short. they only had an hour, cause they had to clear, cause the venue turned into a club on a friday night. but it was good.
