This song by Seattle rap group Dyme Def name-drops Walla about 30 seconds in, I'm pretty sure... Check it out...

And does anyone have any idea what the connection might be?

Yeah I just thought it would be awesome if Walla actually had some connection, but it seems kind of unlikely... but it clearly sounds like "Chris Walla" to me
