hey can anyone think of a celbrity who made the jump into music and formed an actually GOOD band? I was arguing with a friend
about this recently and i can't think of any actors who've pulled this
off successfully...keanue reeves, jared leto, kevin bacon are the only
ones that i could think of and i'm definitely not a fan of what they've done
musically.

rilo kiley... jenny lewis was formerly an actress. Not much a fan of their music, but some of it is good.

she and him... zooey deschanel?... listened to only one song but it's pretty decent.

Steven Seagul and his cheez blues band. Don't forget about Will Smith. To be honest, I think Rilo Kiley is the best example you'll get around here (it's the only one I can really think of).For the most part, it usually works the other way around (musician->actor). A really good example is Levon Helm.

chris Jericho, billy bob thornton(seriously). There’s a few other funny ones...I’m forgetting I’m sure…

It just dawned on me that there was a huge phase of actors ruining their careers with music in the mid-late 80's. It was before my time, of course... but that's not the only reason I don't remember who they are (they were all laughable).

I will def. have to check out Steven Segal’s band, Lol. And Chris Jericho’s band
Fozzy is pretty funny too. Hes done pretty well for himself outside of

So, i've been watching Chris Jericho's show and i'm hooked. It has all the basic elements of a reality show...drama, controversy, & all that good stuff. What do u guys think?!? My personal fave is Farah...She tells it like it is..haha..

what about the lead singer from 30 Seconds To Mars? he was in Fight Club - the blondey that got totally beat up by edward norton. was he an actor first or was he a singer and then decided to just act in a film?

Will Smith acts and raps ["wiggy wiggy wild wild west" - lol, that reminds me of south park].. And you're not a fan of Rougue Traders feat Natalie Basingthwaite, or however you spell her name. she used to be on Neighbours. RT have a few good dancey songs... heaps of peeps have come from Neighbours... oh yeah... Kylie Minogue, she was TV Aussie Soapie Princess before she was a Pop Princess. but then, i wouldn't class her as a "band".

Russell Crowe can't act OR jam... and Keanu Reeves, although he's hot, his band is lame too. hmm... damn, this is harder than i thought.
