14 pages seems too deep to find tabs for the new songs, so let's make this specifically for tablature for Narrow Stairs.

In case anyone wasn't aware, when you post a tab, put in in between code brackets (the red "</>" button on the right).

Tab should be in this font

That way, the tab will be in the right font so the spacing doesn't get messed up.

Bixby Canyon Bridge
Death Cab For Cutie
Narrow Stairs

This is meant to be an acoustic rendition of the song. The Bass line obviously does a good amount of "walking,"
The root chords are good enough for playing on acoustic.

---------
-Verse A-
---------

C Am C
I descended a dusty gravel ridge
            Am C
Beneath the Bixby Canyon Bridge
           Am C
Until I eventually arrived
       Am
At the place where your soul had died

---------
-Verse B-
---------

F C G F
Barefoot in the shallow creek
            C G F
I grab some stones from underneath
           C G F
Waiting for you to speak to me

---------
-Verse A-
---------

C Am C
In the silence it became so very clear
             Am C
That you had long ago disappeared
             Am C
And I curse myself for being surprised
                Am
That this didn't play out like it did in my mind

---------
-Verse B-
---------

F C G F
All the way from San Francisco
         C G F
As I chase the end of your rope
               C G F
'Cause I've still got miles to go

---------
-Verse C-
---------
F
     C G F
I want to know my fate
    C G F
If I keep up this way
       C G F
Its hard to want to stay
       Am E
Aw - a - y

F
       C G F
Then everyone you meet
             C G F
Will all seem to be asleep
         C G D
And you wonder if you're missing your dream
          F D
You can't see your dream
          F D
You can't see your dream
           F D F
Just can't see your dream

--------
-Chorus-

       D G F
  Your dr - e - am.........

-------
-Outro-

C
        Am C
Then is started getting dark
                      Am C
And I trudged back to where the car was parked
             Am C
No closer to any kind of truth
            Am (rest)
As I must assume was the case with you

Like there is a hint I'm trying to give you

That the windows were open the whole time

    C Em F
But oh, my talking bird

I have a slightly more accurate Cath tab, and another No Sunlight tab that I'll post later. I'll have to see how our No Sunlight tabs compare though.

Ok so for Twin Sized Bed, I tabbed out the bass part for guitar. It's not what they play, but it sounds good otherwise.

I was going to post No Sunlight, but I couldn't fix the spacing so here's a link to download it. It's 100% correct, I'm 80% sure. Wink

And this is a revised guitar riff for BCB.

E-------------------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------------------
G----------------------------------9b---------
D-4—5—10—---------------10----------------
A------------10—9—8------------------
E-------------------------------------------------

Just bend the 9th fret a few times. On the last time, bend it longer than usual and move up to the 10th.

Brian, thanks. You caught a note I didn't hear the first time through.

On your Cath tab, I believe this

Chorus
E---------
B-7—5—2---
G-0—0—0---
D-0—0—0---
A-9—7—4---
E---------

Should be this
Chorus
E---------
B-5—3—2---
G-0—0—0---
D-0—0—0---
A-7—5—4---
E---------

Those first two on yours are the literal frets, not in relation to the capo. Roots for the chorus are E D C#, not F# E C#.

you're correction is correct i think weerez, but isn't it a 5 on the B string on the first chord?

Yeah, right. Thanks for catching that. Forgot to adjust that one.

Also, slight adjustment in the verse
Verse
E-----------------
B-----------------
G-9—4----7—2-0----
D-0—0----0—0-0----
A-7—2----7—2-2----
E-8—3----8—3-3----

I definitely hear that last B note drop to an A.
