Either of us could handle it. But yeah, I think that was the intention.

Sorry if I stepped on your toes with the other one, I really didn't mean to. I had some spare time in my work day.

Hi John,

Spare time in your work day eh? That is an unusual concept.Smiler

Actually, I'm glad that you did put the KCRW stuff up on the gmail account as my weekend was absolutely crammed.

Anyway, I went ahead and divided the tracks up for practice so no sweat.

Re the NPR webcast. If you could do that one it would be great as the timing is early A.M. in the UK. Hopefully they will play Couches In Alleys.

I'm working on it, I've got sometime planned for this. I'd estimate another 30min or so before it's ready.

So, I'm having trouble deciding what the best way to rip concerts is. I do like the general stage banter, and if I'm listening to the concert all the way from start to end I'd prefer the tracks to essentially be continuous; BUT, if I'm just listening to random tracks and one of these happens to come up, I'd rather have a smooth beginning and end. Anyway, rather than deciding, I just made both.

Version 1 - Smooth transitions, no banter:

Version 2 - Unedited version:

[Edited to add...] A track listing!:
1) California Zephyr
2) Low Life Kingdom
3) Willamine
4) All In One
5) These Roads Don't Move
6) Big Sur
7) One Fast Move or I'm Gone
8) Final Horrors
9) Couches in Alleys
10) Sea Engines
11) The Void
12) Breathe our Iodine
13) Voodoo Candle (Jay Farrar song)

Encore:

14) San Francisco
15) Absolutely Sweet Marie (Bob Dylan cover)
16) Old Shoes (Tom Waits cover)

I think I misspelled breathe in track 12 in the tagging. My bad.

Thanks for the upload John! That is the issue of ripping live music isn't it? I'm divided on it too, though I veer on the side of unedited versions, or even just keeping it as one long audio file, because I prefer to listen to live sets from start to finish rather than on shuffle.

Thanks for doing this John. I've been away for a few days and returned to find you had bestowed this awesome favour on us all.

You are certainly getting my vote for best new member in the end of year Board Awards.

Great work Smiler
