Is this another interview about their 'new dark direction' and how that drumming/distortion bit came about or is there something new?

those were really really great!

Nothing too special about these interviews if you want to save yourself nearly 30 mins. The interviewer was lame and new to the band. In the third piece she says "The song I Will Posses You..."

I don't know how the guys keep themselves from correcting journalists when they obviously don't know what they're talking about or listened to the actual song.

Maybe because they don't wanna come off as self-obsessed assholes who appear as if their band is the most important thing in the world?

"You haven't heard ALL OF OUR RECORDS!? are you even HUMAN!?"

Still though, if your job is to talk to awesome people like DCFC you better pay your employers the respect of doing your homework. I sure as hell wouldn't mind doing that interview for you sweetheart if it's such a chore getting ready for it.

really, everyone wants to be journalists - and if you can get the right education for it you just write for a website.
