I was wondering how people set there eq on their amps whenever trying play death cab songs. I always put em around 12 o clock with the treble bas and mid but if anyone else has a special way of dialing in there "sound" I would like to know?

I don't know about bass being at 12 o'clock... that seems like a bit much for me. Even when I play bass I don't turn it up that much. It could just be a taste thing, but for me things start to get muddy up there (and I don't hear a lot of deathcas stuff as muddy).

Although I think a lot of death cab's sound comes from their amps and effects, it's true that they use a lotta vintage guitars (like title and registration sounds like some old archtop in the intro).

I'm also interested in getting this type of sound. I was experimenting with my amp and guitar today, and for me I put the treble more at 3 o'clock.

What should the settings be on the guitar?
