So yesterday I casually walked into a starbucks only to hear Soul Meets Body blazing on the overhead sound system. Ask me 2 years ago, I'd swear by everything holy that I would never hear Death Cab for Cutie in a Starbucks. I guess I'm going to hell. Anyone else heard that yet? Definately reaching more people than ever now. Ain't that a B?!

I sure did. lol! I was about to link to there, even.

As far as Starbucks goes, my friend who used to work there said he heard "Your Heart is an Empty Room" one say.

Who cares if they're being called mainstream? Well, good for them. They get more money.

As long as they make great music, i'm happy.

when i read this thread i thought you meant plans was one of the cds sold at the front, which sell like crazy. so i guess i'm relieved that it's just over the sound system, and yes they're mainstream. lol.

WELL. It's kind of funny because

1) starbucks is Seattle based and
2) Walla used to work there

They're big, if they're gunna be played anywhere it's going to be a starbucks.
