Hey, all. I posted ages ago asking whether anyone had the Martin Youth Auxiliary Cassette, and though I was unsuccessful then, a recent
stroke of luck led me to the mp3s.

-Track Listing-
1. Door Prizes
2. Mercantile
3. Backcountry
4. The Shift
5. Do-over
6. The Unfairness of NASA
7. My Hands
8. 505
9. Self-Taught
10. This Must Be the Place (naive melody) [David Byrne Cover]

Tracks 1, 2, 7, and 9 are all available off Hall of Justice, so with the exception of 'My Hands,' the HoJ versions are in the .zip file. [I wasn't able to find the non-'rock version' of 'My Hands' so it's not in the file; however, I'm sure the HoJ version would suffice, so for some of you a visit to Walla's website might be in order if you don't already have it.]

There's the download link; just let me know if you need me to re-upload it at some point or whatever. Enjoy it - some of it's cutesy in the way that All-Time Quarterback is cutesy, but overall I really enjoy having the complete Martin Youth Auxiliary catalog (that is, at least everything that's been released in one form or another).

Cheers!

Hey, this is awesome, but for some reason Do-Over, The Shift, The Unfairness of NASA, and 505 dont work

if there's anyway you could re-upload just those songs, thatd be killer

thanks

Those songs didn't work for me either. Maybe it's because I'm running a Mac.

I've been splicing Ben's inventions.

well, then if thats the case, could you tell us how we could unzip them properly instead of blaming our computers default unzipping settings on us?

I doubt it has anything to do with the zipping or unzipping; I do know, however, that some players are finicky about some MP3 encodings.

I'll see about redoing that and uploading it shortly. While we're at it though, I would love it if someone could upload the original "My Hands."

(I'm also thinking I might try to flex my super-amateur mastering muscles on the non-HOJ tracks, because the quality and sound difference loses the inherent continuity of the original album.)

A sophism of madness...

Hey, so i assume all the songs load onto the PC version of iTunes correctly, right?

So could i just have my friend download these on his PC, then burn me a CD, so that way the songs will be forced into my library?

Please do not ever try to master from an mp3. Besides the fact that it's already extremely lossy, you can't seperate tracks....it jsut won't work.

While I understand your point about the lossiness, mastering doesn't require any more than a left and a right channel. I know mixing is too far gone, but I'm worried about overall compression, slight EQ adjustments, and noise removal.

At any rate, I re-encoded the four MP3s that were giving some people some trouble, so you can find them at http://www.sendspace.com/file/tb9a10 for all your Martin Youth Auxiliary enjoying needs.

My desire to get a copy of the original "My Hands" still stands for whoever's out there holding out on the rest of us Walla-fallawas. (That's almost an anagram.)

Hey, I'm coming a bit too late on this one.

Is there any way someone could reupload it? I've looked everywhere for it..no luck.

Thanks, if you can.
