Yeah, the tickets are given away in a lottery system. You have to enter your name into the lottery in the summer. If you do that, you might get tickets. So the tickets to all SNLs this season have been gone since the end of the summer. |

i entered during the summer, but i thought they gave out tickets as the weeks go on....are you sure the tickets are given out at the end of summer, or is there just no hope?  |

Yeah, I don't know about that. I would hope you would have a little warning. I'm from Chicago, and I wouldn't want to know that I have tickets to SNL but have to make plans to stay in New York only a week in advance. But maybe thats how they do things. This is what the website says, and it looks like you can try for stand-by's: The Saturday Night Live ticket lottery for the upcoming 2005-2006 season has come to a close. Please be advised if you submitted one email in the month of August only to snltickets@nbc.com , you may be selected to attend one of our shows. If you are selected, you will receive two tickets to a random show date and time. All audience members must be at least 16 years of age. Please note that entering the lottery does not guarantee tickets, and you will only be notified in the event that you are chosen. For stand-by tickets, arrive no later than 7:00am on the morning of the taping under the "NBC Studios" marquee on the 50th St. side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. You may choose a stand-by ticket for either the 8:00pm dress rehearsal or the 11:30pm live show. Only one ticket will be issued per person. Please note that a stand-by ticket does not guarantee admission. |
