I passed on your complaints to techie people.

Some adjustments were made today, hopefully to fix the sound problem and others.

Please those of you who tried yesterday, try again now and let us know if it works any better.

Make certain you have the latest version of Quicktime installed.

Thanks.

I hope it works for ya soon. I know the repeated "O.C." references have gotten annoying to many (including myself at times), but I could kind-of understand why "Seth Cohen" (and Adam Brody) have liked Death Cab 'cause the first time I can remember hearing Ben's voice (on "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" last year (like I said, I'm a pretty new fan)), I thought it sort-of sounded like "Seth," if I had heard him sing on the show (the cute, kind-of "lispy"/"r" thing goin' on...) (However, I strongly doubt that Brody's singing voice is even close to Ben's...) Smiler

adam brody plays drums in a band. I think it's called Big Japan. Not sure, I can't see the resemblence between a mumbly adam brody and ben..

OS: Linux (ArchLinux 0.7.1, to be exact Smiler ) with MPlayer and/or firefox
Internet connection: Cable

It refuses to play the RTSP stream. Why couldn't they just put it up on BitTorrent? I'd be happy to switch players if anyone found one that would work. :P

Sorry SMB -

I've since found out that Linux does not have the necessary wrappers for Quicktime to play these streaming videos.

I know how infuriating that can be, as I'm an OSX user and cannot watch anything encoded with Windows Media Player 10 or anything on MTV's site or launch.com or yahoo's music site.

I suggested .swf for the streaming of these videos. Obviously it was in everyone's interest right now to keep these videos free to see but not downloadable. To which, if you feel burned by, I can only say at the very least we are offering these videos for free for the majority of computer users out there for a period before we offer them on DVD.

.swf was not viable technically on our bandwidth, and it has come to my attention that you can now safe .swf streams with a certain script.

Given the choice of Quicktime vs. WMP, I easily decided on Quicktime. At least then we can reach Mac users and Windows users. And Windows Media Player has the worst buffering issues I've ever encountered.

As a linux user I'm guessing you know someone or have access to another OS somewhere. I apologize for the inconvenience.

sorry if this goes outside what aaron was saying about downloading the videos... but for linux users you can get the Mplayer program.

Command line

mplayer.exe -dumpstream rtsp://whatevermoviehere

Mac OSX, cable (optimum), firefox/safari

Your heart is an empy room isn't working for me.
All videos before this one have worked with minor glitches. This time the video pauses a lot. I pretty much get frustrated and try to watch it another time, but the pausing happens every time.
Hope someone can help. Thanks
