On the interview on the DVD, Ben said that the only people in on it were the crew, the band, and Lance. When Lance is on his second trip to the stage, the kids aren't angry but want to be in the shot. This gives me the feeling that the crowd was told at some point. The video does have a cut in the middle and you can hear the "fall in fits of laughter" line when he's going down the stairs and you hear it again when he comes back up. Since the song doesn't repeat that lyric, you can tell that some editing with two different takes was done. |

I was really disappointed when I found out it was staged. How brilliant would it have been otherwise?
The Director's Statement is hilarious though; He has a great sense of humor. |

His comments about his original idea for Brothers on a Hotel Bed was hysterical. He's a funny guy indeed.
